What We Believe

French Broad Valley Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation. We receive the Scriptures as our authority in matters of faith and practice, and we hold the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention on May 9, 1963 and revised June 9, 1998. We observe baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Our History

French Broad Valley Baptist Church was organized May 10, 1893 at the Douglas School House, growing out of a Mission Sunday School begun in 1887 by Dumplin Creek Baptist Church. For 133 years God's Word has remained the same.

Growing in Faith, Serving in Love.
